After leaving the port of Milazzo, we head towards the island of Vulcano. The journey time is around one hour.
Once we have arrived at Vulcano Porto, you will have 3h 30 to explore the island at your own pace. You can discover the beauty of the island named by the ancient greeks colonizers Hierà (Holy). You can’t miss the opportunity for a therapeutic bath in the thermal waters and the sulfur muds in Baia Levante, while in Baia Ponente you can walk on the black beach of volcanic sand or take a swim.
The more sporty among you can enjoy of the climb to the Gran Cratere Della Fossa, which is still an active vulcano, though currently dormant. From the top of it you can enjoy a breathtaking view on all the islands.
Boarding is at 14.00, you will be offered a small aperitif, that you can enjoy during the short journey to Lipari, the biggest island of the Archipelago.
Once arrived in Lipari (about 14.30) you will have the time to take a walk through the picturesque streets of the old town, go shopping along Corso Vittorio Emanuele, visiting the ancient Castle of Lipari with the majestic Basilica of San Bartolomeo or reaching the White Beaches of pumice for a swim in the crystal clear waters.
During the journey back (boarding at 17.30) we will pass through the Faraglioni of Lipari, Pietra Lunga and Pietra Menalda, and will pass along the wild west side of Vulcano, where we can admire Grotta del Cavallo.
